News flash: A new digital cutting table for Imprimerie du Noisetier (09)

For over a century, Imprimerie du Noisetier has been evolving to guarantee quality services, supporting the local economy from its base in Lavelanet (Ariège). Specializing in advertising and administrative printing, large-format communications, luxury goods (hot foil stamping, embossing) and book printing, it is now equipped with a digital cutting table. This machine modernizes short-run die-cutting operations, such as packaging and self-adhesive labels.

Imprimerie ReproSystem, based in Vesoul since 1990, announces the arrival of the HP Latex 700, a large-format printer designed for fast, high-quality printing. This innovative equipment guarantees vivid colors and intense blacks, optimizing the sharpness and visual rendering of media. Renowned for its versatility, ReproSystem offers a wide range of services for companies: communication media (brochures, flyers, business cards), posters and billboards, textile printing and customized media. Resolu and Excellence Paper merge under the Domtar name

Since October 24, 2024, the subsidiaries of the Canadian Paper Excellence Group, including Resolu and Paper Excellence, have been operating under the single name of Domtar. This consolidation, motivated by the strong reputation of the Domtar brand, aims to create synergies across the group's 60 North American mills. Resolu products will temporarily retain their names, but the transition to the Domtar identity is underway. With 14 mills in Quebec and a majority Quebec team, the company remains committed to certified sustainable management of its forest resources.

Imprimerie Bodin (36) celebrates a century of family know-how

Founded in 1924 in Buzançais and relocated to Saint-Lactencin in 2022, Imprimerie Bodin is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Still equipped with old machines in working order, the company welcomed customers and elected officials, including the mayors of Buzançais and Saint-Lactencin, on October 17, 2024. Jean-Pierre and Marie-André Bodin, accompanied by the new generation, Léane Boucherat and Alban Chartier, celebrated a century of transmission and passion for the family printing business.

Hinojosa Packaging Group strengthens its climate commitment with targets validated by SBTi

Hinojosa Packaging Group has taken a decisive step forward in its decarbonization strategy. Its emissions reduction targets have just been validated by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, encouraging concrete climate action. By 2030, Hinojosa aims to reduce its absolute emissions by 60% for scopes 1 and 2, and by 42% for scope 3, including transport and distribution. At the same time, the Group plans to generate 100% of its electricity from renewable sources and align 80% of its emissions from purchased goods and services with SBTi standards by 2028. Hinojosa has set itself the target of achieving the Net-Zero standard by 2050, aiming for an overall 90% reduction in emissions.

Renzmann in insolvency proceedings, but production continues

Monzingen, Germany-based Renzmann, manufacturer of industrial washing machines and distillation units for the printing, paint and ink industries, has filed for insolvency with the Bad Kreuznach District Court on October 24, 2024. Based in Monzingen, the company will continue to operate without interruption. Jens Lieser, provisional administrator, and Dominik Zimmermann, managing director, have informed employees that their salaries will be guaranteed until the end of December 2024, thanks to support from the Federal Employment Agency. The search for an investor for a strategic takeover is underway, with results expected in the first quarter of 2025, during which time the company expects to maintain a stable business and sufficient cash flow.

The Navigator Company launches production of molded-fiber packaging and reports improved financial results

The Navigator Company has started production of molded fiber packaging in Aveiro, Portugal, becoming the first in the world to produce such packaging in a vertically integrated unit using eucalyptus fibers. With an annual capacity of 100 million units, the plant targets the market for alternatives to single-use plastics, in line with sustainability objectives. On the results side, Navigator reported sales of 1.57 billion euros for the first nine months of 2024, up from 1.46 billion euros in 2023. Net profit rose to 241.44 million euros from 200.76 million the previous year, confirming the company's financial strength.
