Morgana launches the DigiFold Pro XL

The finishing machine, which can handle media up to 1300 mm long, folds up to 6000 sheets and creases up to 7500 A4 sheets per hour.

The British manufacturer belonging to the Swedish Plockmatic Morgana Group has unveiled a new converting machine, the DigiFold Pro XL. This automatic machine allows creasing, folding and perforating operations in one single pass.

Designed to complement medium and high volume digital and offset production presses, it handles a variety of media (even laminated) from 80 to 400 g/m 2 . The DigiFold Pro XL also processes papers from 210 mm in length up to much longer formats: 1300 mm. "This opens the door to new applications, such as landscape booklet covers, oversized bound book covers, multi-panel brochures and many other possible applications from these long formats."

The Morgana Pro XL can fold up to 6000 A4 sheets per hour and up to 7500 A4 sheets in creasing mode. Its loading capacity is 200 mm and it can make up to 30 creases per sheet.

Rotary punching is standard and a cross punching unit can be added for more complex jobs.

The new user interface simplifies the control of the machine. On the screen, the operator enters the length of the sheet, the type of fold and presses enter. The location of the folds will be calculated automatically.

Morgana has also made it easy to change the grooving blades, which can be removed and replaced without tools.

And the manufacturer has also launched the AutoCreaser Pro XL, a similar model, but only dedicated to creasing and perforating.
