The C7100 line of digital presses handles a variety of media types, can be highly automated and is enhanced with multiple in-line finishing options.

Konica Minolta is launching a new series of digital color presses, the AccurioPress C7100, which replaces the C6100 series. This series is equipped with many new technologies, which makes it easy to use while offering a great versatility of applications both in terms of media type and finishing.

"Using the press is so simple that even the most complex projects can be executed by a single operator." explains the Japanese digital press manufacturer.

The AccurioPress C7100 for high-quality printing on a wide range of formats

Thanks to the low-temperature melting of Konica Minolta's Simitri V toner, the press's power consumption is reduced and the machine requires little maintenance.

In addition, with an output resolution equivalent to 3600 x 2400 dpi, the toner prints with a more matte finish on a range of media from 52 to 400 g/m 2 .

The new series also handles envelopes and textured media and produces single-sided banners up to 1300 mm and automatic duplexing up to 900 mm.

Multiple automation options on AccurioPress C7100 presses

Konica Minolta's digital presses can be equipped with the IM-101 intelligent media sensor, which automatically detects the media used for the best paper configuration.

Konica Minolta also offers the Intelligent Quality Care IQ-501 module, which ensures consistent color quality and accurate duplex registration in real time. This module prevents printing errors by comparing the printout with the print file and adjusting the color and registration in real time. "This mid-cycle recalibration and automatic inspection feature eliminates operator intervention and also improves productivity."

A wide choice of finishes with Konica Minolta modules

In addition to booklet making, stapling, iron-on binding, and spiral binding, the AccurioPress C7100 series can be expanded with other finishes and features.

For example, it is possible to add the TU-510 inline cutting unit from Konica Minolta. The TU-510 is a four-sided cutter that also provides creasing and microperforation.
Coupled with the PF-812, the banner vacuum feeder, this cutting module allows full-bleed printing of long sheets or booklets or direct mailings.
The cutter is also suitable for in-line cutting of business cards.

The SD 513 saddle stitch module for the production of glued square backs or the PB 503 for iron-on books up to 600 pages.

The AccurioPress C7100 model prints at up to 100 A4 pages per minute (ppm) and the AccurioPress C7090 model prints at up to 90 ppm.

The AccurioPress C7100 series offers two choices of controller interfaces, EFI and Konica Minolta.
