South Africa-based paper manufacturer Sappi is launching two new references in its dye sublimation paper range, the Transjet Tacky Industrial and the Basejet.
The Transjet Tacky Industrial, the dye-sublimation paper for inkjet presses
Transjet Tacky Industrial media enables printing on highly elastic fabrics with high-speed inkjet presses that operate with higher glycol content such as Kyocera's printheads.
The paper is first printed with the desired image which is then transferred to the elastic polyester fabric by heat and pressure.
"The new dye-sublimation paper offers many advantages for the textile industry, which must frequently adapt to changing trends, assures the manufacturer. Because it is suitable for use on high-speed digital printers, it is possible to print many more designs at once than was previously possible on plotters."
This dye sublimation paper has a high ink loading capacity and the design remains visible when the fabric is stretched to its maximum.
Transjet Tacky Industrial is made of 100% recyclable cellulose and all versions are FSC certified. It is available in 100g/m² and 70g/m².
Basejet, the dye-sublimation paper especially for clear graphics
Sappi also offers the uncoated dye sublimation paper Basejet. This digital printing medium for textiles is particularly suitable for clear graphics and low-cost production processes.

Basejet is available in weights of 20, 30, 40 and 50 g/m² and in all standard roll widths up to 3.2 meters. It is made from 100% recyclable cellulose and is FSC certified.
