Actega, a German manufacturer of specialty coatings, inks and adhesives for the printing and packaging industry belonging to the Altana chemical group, has announced the appointment of two new directors.
Since October 1st, Jan Franz Allerkamp former general manager of Actega Metal Print, is the head of the actega's international paper and board business area . He replaces Andreas Gipp who becomes the third managing director of Eckart, another pigment division of the Altana Group.

Actega has also appointed Stephan Plenz acting General Manager of Actega's Metal Print Division . Stephan Plenz spent 30 years with printing press manufacturer Heidelberg. He was a member of the board of directors and responsible for several of the German group's business divisions, including sheetfed, label, post-press and digital.
He will be responsible for launching the full-scale commercialization of EcoLeaf's metallized label finishing technology.
Invented by Landa, this technology then called Metallography was acquired by Altana in 2017 .
