Usain Bolt promotes EcoTank printers

Epson partners with the World's Fastest Man for its campaign to promote EcoTank printers without cartridges.

Epson has announced a partnership with eight-time gold medalist Usain Bolt, considered the fastest man in the world. The Jamaican athlete will be the face of a promotional campaign for Epson's cartridge-free EcoTank printers.

Usain Bolt will appear alongside Epson's EcoTank in a television advertising campaign, as well as on billboards, online banner ads, at major retailer locations and on social media. Usain Bolt will show how to enjoy cartridge-free printing "eurosNo Stress" for three years. The campaign will also highlight Epson's ink delivery subscription service, ReadyPrint.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Epson to help spread the word about EcoTank printers. I only partner with brands that I believe can really make a difference. EcoTank printers avoid the frustration of printing with cartridges. Also, anything that helps simplify life should be seen as a good thing, said Usain Bolt.

Epson Europe president Yoshiro Nagafusa, meanwhile, said: "eurosUsain Bolt is the perfect partner for useuros! He is one of the most recognizable people in the world and his personable nature will help us bring our cost-effective printing solutions to life in an entertaining, memorable and captivating way.euros"

Since their launch in 2010, more than 60 million EcoTank high-capacity ink tank printers have been sold worldwide. The printers are sold with high-capacity ink bottles rather than cartridges. A single set of ink bottles is equivalent to 72 ink cartridges, Epson says.
