For Essentra Packaging's general manager, the group is getting the best of both worlds, "the adaptability of digital with the performance of offset."

Essentra Packaging, the secondary packaging division of the English Essentra Group,
has announced that it has installed a Landa S10 press at its Bradford site in the UK this month.
This is the first installation of a nanographic machine in the UK packaging industry. The B1 size nanographic press will produce folding cartons for the health, personal care and beauty sectors.

"Offset is the dominant printing method for folding cartons and the quality of this technology is evident, explains Andrew Hopkins, Essentra Packaging's Managing Director for the UK and Ireland . However, it has never had the same flexibility and versatility as digital printing. The Landa S10 offers the best of both worlds: the adaptability of digital with the performance of offset."

He continues: "At Essentra, we have never been afraid to think outside the box and find innovative ways to add value for our customers. Our investment in the Landa S10 press at our Bradford manufacturing facility is the latest example of how we are building one of the strongest, comprehensive offerings in the pharmaceutical, personal care and beauty packaging sectors."

Essentra Packaging, which employs 3,500 people, had sales of £362.4 million (about ?428 million) in 2021 operating 23 plants worldwide (and £959.7 million for the entire Essentra group with 8,186 employees).
