The Cassochrome printing company, managed by Laurence Soens, joins the Belgian group which wishes to develop the reproduction of artistic works on a larger scale.

New external growth for Graphius. The family group of 550 people has just acquired Cassochrome, based in Belgium in Waregem. Cassochrome, which has a turnover of two million euros, specializes in the production and printing of high-end art, design, fashion and architectural books using UV offset and lithography.

On April 3, the printing activities will be transferred to the headquarters of Graphius, Ghent, which has a complete bindery machine park.
None of the eight jobs will be eliminated. Laurence Soens, the former general manager of the company, will remain at the head of the Cassochrome team.

Develop the production of quality art books

For Denis Geers, the CEO of Graphius and third generation at the head of the group founded in 1928, this acquisition allows him to expand into the art sector. " The company has a well-established reputation in the production of quality art books for an international clientele. The reproduction of artistic works requires a specific know-how and an ultra fine screen of great precision, two aspects that Cassochrome masters to perfection. And that we will be able to develop on a larger scale

According to Laurence Soens, who had been in talks with Graphius for a long time, this rapprochement was essential: "To continue to guarantee the quality of our productions, we clearly need an efficient internal bindery."

An active acquisition strategy on a national and international scale

Freelancers Denis and Philippe Geers, respectively CEO and CFO of Graphius, intend to continue the consolidation of the group through external growth at national and international level. All functions remain centralized in Ghent, where a shared services center has also been set up.

Graphius posted in 2022 a turnover of 126 million euros with its six production sites in Belgium (Ghent, Brussels, Ostend, Duffel), in France (in Paris with PPO Graphic) and since June 2022 at United Kingdom (in London) .
