Konica Minolta's AccurioPress C7100 and C7090 are Fogra certified

Konica Minolta's Accurio C7100 and C7090 feuills digital presses are ISO-compliant, Fogra says.

Konica Minolta announces the Fogra certification of its AccurioPress C7100 and C7090 digital color sheet-fed presses.

Called FograCert Validation Printing System (VPS), this international certification from the German research institute Fogra ensures that the production systems of various manufacturers comply with ISO standards according to measurable criteria.

Konica Minolta's AccurioPress C7100/C7090 series "meet all the criteria of this program in the tested configurations", according to the organization. AccurioPress C7100 and C7090 digital printing presses are now certified when using Konica Minolta or EFI Fiery controllers.

Karl Friedrich Edenuizen, Color Product Manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, states: "This certification is further recognition of how our presses deliver reliable, high-quality color results opening up new opportunities for customers."

The AccurioPress C7100 and C7090 presses have been extensively tested under a variety of printing conditions covering a wide range of applications.
These tests included PDF/X compliance, colorimetry of the proofing medium, brightness and fluorescence, color accuracy, permanence and lightfastness. Other factors are taken into account such as fading, short and long term repeatability, resistance of the print to rubbing or colorimetric transfer of tone values.

Launched in June 2021, accurioPress C7100 sheet-fed production press prints at 100 pages per minute (ppm) in A4, and the AccurioPress C7090 at 90 ppm.

The AccurioPress C7100/C7090 series joins the AccurioPress C14000 and AccurioPress C4080 series that already hold this certification.
