By fully integrating the agency, Koenig & Bauer strengthens its presence in the Hispanic market.

Koenig & Bauer now has its own branch in Spain. On January 30, the German printing press manufacturer took over the Koenig & Bauer Lauvic branch in Barcelona, making it a 100% subsidiary of the Group. The new Managing Director is Sascha Fischer, who has held various management positions at Koenig & Bauer since 2010.

With this move, the German manufacturer strengthens its presence in Spain and provides its customers with a direct connection to Koenig & Bauer's various sales units and production plants.

As before, Koenig & Bauer Lauvic and its 20 employees are responsible for sales and service for the sheetfed offset product range, digital, web and CI flexo printing presses, on the Spanish market, which benefits from a spare parts warehouse including wear parts and spares for rapid supply.

Previous owners and directors José Antonio Díaz and Juan Díaz will keep a foot in the door, providing advisory support to the new management team.

In the past, Spain was the world's biggest market for single-width newspaper presses, with over 30 Comet series machines installed.
