HP launches two new products for its Latex large-format printing range, a kit that increases the ink capacity of the HP Latex 2700 Printer and application updates for its HP print production operating system.
Three major trends in large-format printing according to HP
These new products are designed to meet the three trends in large-format printing identified by Daniel Martinez, Global Director and General Manager of HP Large Format, namely the need for shorter turnaround times, the need to streamline print workflows, and the growing demand for solutions that meet the principles of sustainable development.
"Our aim is to meet these expectations by developing solutions and products that are not only innovative and optimized, but also more environmentally friendly. Our announcements at Drupa, including the new 10L high-capacity ink accessory for the HP LF Latex 2700 Printer and the Live Production, Design & eCommerce, and Learn Premium suite of software solutions, respond precisely to these needs."
A high-capacity kit to boost productivity
The high-capacity kit doubles the standard ink capacity of the HP Latex 2700 printer to 10 liters. This solution reduces operating costs, while increasing productivity and compatibility with the HP Latex Printer HP Latex 2700 eliminates the need to replace existing equipment, thus reducing waste, says HP.
New functions in HP PrintOS to streamline production
With the aim of streamlining large-format printing activities, HP now offers new functionalities with its Live Production, Design & eCommerce and Learn Premium software solutions from HP PrintOS.
Designed for small and medium-sized businesses, the new version of Live Production enables remote management of end-to-end workflows, from any PC or mobile device. Developed from data analysis, Live Production aims to redefine print management and give printers a significant competitive edge.
The new tools Design & eCommerce generate print-ready PDF files optimized for the most common large-format applications, such as canvas or wall coverings.
The software update also includes compatibility with a wider range of websites and support for the on-demand quotation sales process.
Finally, HP Large Format launches an update of its learning platform HP Learn now offers printers over 60 new training videos. They focus on how to optimize HP LF Latex Printing Technology in applications such as vehicle wrapping, color management and sustainable development.
The new HP PrintOS features will be available from autumn 2024.
