Since its creation in 1946, Japanese printer manufacturer RISO has been firmly committed to sustainable development, distinguishing itself through its unique inkjet printing process.
How RISO can cut your electricity bill by 91 1 ?
Unlike water-based toner or inkjet printers, FORCEJET TM is an exclusively cold technology. Laser machines using toner require preheating and heat to fix the powder to the substrate. Water-based inkjet solutions, on the other hand, use a thermal ink ejection process. A heat system is used to dry and set the ink on the paper.
FORCEJET technology TM developed by the Japanese brand's engineers completely eliminates the need for heating. âeuros¨After cold ejection, the oil-based ink penetrates the paper fibers and dries instantly, without the need for energy-consuming ovens or drying modules.

Thanks to this 100% cold process, RISO's ComColor and Valezus ranges consume less electricity than traditional copiers and printers in operation and standby. 91% 1 in energy savings. During printing, ComColor printers consume 50 Wh 2 compared with 288 Wh 3 for laser copiers. And on standby, RISO's solutions consume almost no energy.

To demonstrate this very low power consumption, the RISO FRANCE team developed and installed an energy consumption measurement application at the C!Print trade show held in Lyon in February 2024. Connected to the printers on display, it displays in real time the KWatts saved each day thanks to RISO inkjet technology.

No harmful emissions when using RISO printers
What's more, unlike laser systems, FORCEJET TM rISO printers emit no ozone, an atmospheric pollutant that irritates the respiratory tract, mucous membranes and eyes, according to tests carried out by Keypoint Intelligence. Emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which have a direct and indirect impact on the environment, are also reduced.
