Cold-fed inkjet: RISO celebrates 20 years of expertise at C!Print 2026

As in previous years, RISO will be exhibiting at C!Print, presenting a wide range of printing solutions, as well as, for the first time, an invisible UV-developable ink, in response to the need for secure printing on duplicator technology.

RISO's presence at C!Print from February 3 to 5, 2026, will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of RISOâeuros cold-sheet inkjet technology! On this occasion, the Japanese manufacturer will look back over the two decades of its cold foil inkjet technology, and present a number of new products.

Launched in 2005 with the first ComColor HC5500 printer, FORCEJET? technology, developed in-house, is based on a heatless printing system, founded on the use of oil-based inks and flat paper passage. This approach enables RISO to offer production systems that are both fast, stable and sober, and prints that are immediately usable on output.

FORCEJET?: architecture designed for stability and fluidity

FORCEJET? technology is based on horizontal paper transport, under fixed heads aligned across the entire width of the format. This device limits jams, avoids distortion and enables printing on a variety of applications/substrates: envelopes, carbonless paper, desktop publishing bundles or lightweight cardboard.
RISO's oil-based inks penetrate paper fibers instantly, without the need for thermal drying. Paper emerges dry, curl-free and ready for shaping, folding or inserting. Printing is adjusted sheet by sheet, thanks to a system of lateral sensors ensuring precise positioning.

Productivity and eco-responsibility in a single system

RISO systems print up to 165 pages per minute on the ComColor range, and 330 pages per minute on the Valezus series, in monochrome and four-color, duplex, on A4 and A3 paper sizes, and envelopes from DL to C4.
FORCEJET? technology operates without ozone emissions and strongly limits the production of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and CO2, helping to preserve air quality in the working environment.
Thanks to the absence of a heating system, power consumption is reduced by 91% compared with equivalent laser systems. The machines also consume very little energy on standby.

Numerous systems on display at C!Print

At C!Print, RISO will be showcasing a number of machines in action, including the ComColor GL9730, FT5230 EII and the Valezus T1200 model, featuring dual high-capacity infeed and output, each with an 8,000-sheet capacity.
The Japanese manufacturer will also be exhibiting the ExpeINsert solution, developed in collaboration with Pitney Bowes. This system enables complete automation from composition to franking, including printing, finishing (collating, folding and stapling), traceability and inserting. It is designed for environments with high document reactivity requirements, with optimized traceability and workflows.

C!Print 2026 will also be an opportunity to discover RISO's new invisible ink for duplicators, which can only be revealed under UV light. It adds an extra level of security to sensitive documents, such as diplomas, statements or certificates.

Visitors to Eurexpo Lyon will be able to discover this equipment on stand 1C14, from February 3 to 5, 2026, and talk to RISO teams about the various possible uses and configurations.
