Victor Buck Services (VBS), a major player in document outsourcing, has just announced the installation of the Canon ColorStream 8133 press, the first continuous feed digital press in Luxembourg. This new equipment is designed to meet the growing demands for quality, agility and durability in transactional printing and high-quality communications.
The Canon ColorStream 8133 press marks an important milestone in the partnership between VBS and Canon, which began in 2020 with the installation of the varioPRINT iX3200, specialized in high-quality sheetfed printing. This collaboration provides VBS with cutting-edge technologies, capable of evolving in line with market needs.
For Arnauld Wulgaert, COO of VBS, "The addition of the ColorStream 8133 strengthens our ability to meet our customers' new demands for quality and speed .
The installation of the Canon ColorStream 8133 enables VBS to achieve the 1200 dpi resolution required to meet the exacting standards of luxury and premium service companies. Improving print quality is crucial for the transactional sector, where accuracy of detail plays a key role in brand perception.
With a print speed of 133 meters per minute, or around 1,790 A4 pages per minute, the Canon ColorStream 8133 is optimized to handle high volumes. This speed, coupled with the flexibility of a reel feeder, enables VBS to adapt to a wide range of requirements, from handling large print runs to urgent orders.
Beyond performance, the Canon ColorStream 8133 is equipped with features to reduce environmental impact, such as the pause system during print jobs, limiting paper waste. Adaptive drying technology adjusts energy consumption according to ink coverage, reducing costs and energy footprint. This investment in sustainability is in line with the CSR objectives of VBS and its customers, responding to a growing demand for more environmentally-friendly solutions.
