Since the launch of its Revoria SC285S and EC2100S digital presses at the beginning of 2025, Fujifilm has continued to expand the chromatic possibilities of its so-called 5uper Color. After pink, transparent and textured paper inks then the arrival of white and silver in spring the Japanese manufacturer announces the launch of its gold toner.
This gold toner brings to six the number of toners available for these two mid-range presses, and opens the way to new metallic effects. Combined with CMYK colors, this fifth color enables the creation of golden shades on graphic elements, without the need for additional techniques.
"When we launched 5uper Color, we said our aim was to make specialty toners and 5-color printing accessible to an ever-expanding market." says Mark Lawn, Director of Print-on-Demand Solutions at Fujifilm EMEA.
He adds: " Metallic effects can really make a statement. What's more, brands and professionals can boost their visibility by using metallic colors on product packaging, sales displays or business cards. These colors also help combat counterfeiting, for example on banknotes."
And warns: "Marketing the gold toner is just the latest step in this process. We're constantly innovating to offer our customers the tools they need to evolve and excel."
