The possibilities of the Jetfire 50 inkjet press are expanding. Thanks to two partnerships, Heidelberg now offers the integration of finishing solutions from CP Bourg and Tecnau to produce various inline and offline products, with variable pagination and formats.
"By integrating postpress solutions from CP Bourg and Tecnau into our digital ecosystem, we offer our customers a complete, highly productive package for industrial digital print production. What's more, our customers have a single point of contact and benefit from Heidelberg's global service network." explains David Schmedding, Technical and Sales Director at Heidelberg. "In line with our growth strategy, Heidelberg continues to gradually expand its portfolio for the fast-growing digital printing market."
BBM Booklet Maker and BB3002 Perfect Binder from CP Bourg
Belgian manufacturer CP Bourg, via Heidelberg, offers two automated lines: the BBM Booklet Maker, designed for saddle-stitched binding in portrait and landscape formats, double or quadruple spine stitching, with or without eyelets, and the BB3002 Perfect Binder for glued square-back binding in EVA or PUR glues, which allows up to thirteen cover folds via its integrated creasing module.
This equipment can operate in line with the Jetfire 50 or produce book blocks for offline finishing.
A range of modular forming equipment from Tecnau
For its part, Italian manufacturer Tecnau offers a modular range geared towards commercial and promotional applications. The Stack 1010 is a sheet-fed cutting and stacking module designed to produce postcards, posters or coupons directly from Jetfire 50 outputs. The BookReady cuts and stacks ready-to-bind book blocks automatically.
Two further units extend the range of finishing options: the TC 1530 C for dynamic horizontal and vertical punching, creasing and in-line scoring, and the TC 1530 P for punching spiral or ring binders, particularly suitable for calendars and training manuals.
And Heidelberg's Fireline solution
This equipment completes Heidelberg's offering of Stahlfolder Fireline, a digital folder dedicated to JetFire automated cutting and folding operations and launched at the beginning of the year.
The system supports a wide range of finished formats from A6 to A3, with accordion, rolled, parallel or cross folds. Each program is preloaded in the interface, and all settings are automated to minimize operator intervention.
All these solutions are now available for demonstration at the Print Media Center in Wiesloch-Walldorf, Germany, recently renamed Home of Print.
