Cron's HDI 400 flexo pcp from Cron intrigues at CPrint

One pc but many possibilities...

Cron's new flexo ctp from Cron generated a lot of interest at the Cprint trade fair in Lyon at the beginning of February. Pierre Declerck and his son Jean, managers of the company Arc en ciel, exclusive reseller of the brand, have thus obtained many contacts.

The HDI 400 pcb is a flexo pcb with a format equivalent to an A3+ (430 x 560 mm). It can be used to make ablative film, flexo plates, 0.15 mm thick offset plates and letterpress plates.

"The visitors asked us a lot of questions about the HDI 400 ctp. The printers were particularly surprised by its versatility: it is one of the only ctps on which you can do everything, and it is the only one on the market with such a high speed", explains Pierre Declerck. The ctp produces images between 1 and 4.5 m 2 /h, depending on its configuration and the requested quality.
This machine is ideal for a small printer who does pad printing, offset printing, label printing..
"And we're very, very well positioned in terms of pricing: 50,000 euros excluding environment" he points out.

One of the ctp of this series has already been in production in Switzerland for several months. It is installed at a manufacturer of dials for luxury watches who uses the HDI 600+ ctp (660 x 560 mm) to make the pad printing plates in 9600 DPI.

Cron has also recently launched the CTP Hdi 2000, which produces very large-format plates measuring 1.4 x 2 metres and 6.5 mm thick.

And at Drupa, Pierre Declerck told us that he will present for the first time a revolutionary ink distribution process for offset presses.
