New textile printing inks at DuPont

This 12-colour ink set allows printing on high-end fabrics.

DuPont Image Solutions launches a new series of high-end textile inks for roll-to-roll printing, the DuPont Artistri Xite P2700. The Artistri P2700 series is a textile pigmented ink formulated for medium viscosity piezoelectric printheads (the Kyocera KJ4B series) and for home, furniture and apparel applications. According to its manufacturer, it would offer "Best in class color with deep, rich black and exceptional color saturation." .

Dupont's Artistri P2700 ink is designed for printing on a variety of fabrics, but DuPont particularly recommends it for printing on cotton and cotton/polyester blends. The Artistri P2700 range is designed for home, furniture and clothing applications and is available in 12 colours: CMYK, orange, red, blue, green, purple, C light, M light and N light.

To test and optimize these inks, DuPont collaborated with the Italian printing company Creazioni Digitali, based in the province of Como. "Our customers trust us for the quality and durability of our printed fabrics, said in a press release Roberto Lucini, CEO of Creazioni Digitali. With DuPont Artistri Xite P2700 inks, we can meet the abrasion resistance requirements our customers expect, printing vibrant colours with the low environmental footprint of digital pigmented inks."
