Great success for the first large format workshop

The Large Format Workshop is back for a second edition!

Due to the success of the event, the Large Format Workshop, which was to have lasted from February 1 to 26, has been extended to the first days of March.

41 companies visited the SwissQprint showroom in Villebon-sur-Yvette in the Essonne region of France, which was transformed into a workshop: SwissQprint, as well as Zünd, Metis, Caldera and Dataline, have recreated a high-performance and complete large-format printing workshop here, from order management to printing and finishing.

The printers, who were received in small groups, were able to benefit from tailor-made information and demonstrations. These personalized meetings were particularly appreciated by the visitors. "I would like to thank the initiators of the Large Format Workshop for their pleasant and professional welcome, says Johnny Falck, manager of the Falck and Co printing company, located in Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Val-de-Marne. We had an excellent, constructive and energizing time. We leave with impressions in our eyes and ideas in our heads!"

Participants were able to discover workflows from Strasbourg-based Caldera that improve the efficiency of digital printing and cutting workflows thanks to advanced prepress optimization tools.

They were also able to appreciate the Metis Surf 3D scanner, which digitizes material characteristics, including texture, gloss and other surface features.

The large format professionals were also informed about Dataline's MIS/ERP Multipress software, which reduces various administrative tasks such as invoicing, customer management, cost management and costing.

They saw demonstrations of the Nyala 3 UV flatbed inkjet printer and the Karibu roll-to-roll printer from Swiss manufacturer SwissQprint, digital systems known for their precision, scalable design and environmental compatibility, as well as a new Zünd digital die-cutting system, based on a modular and flexible principle.

Due to the positive feedback from visitors, the organizers will hold a second edition in September 2022.
