Canon is expanding its imagePROGRAF TX printer range. The new series includes five models: the TX-2100 (24-inch), TX-3100 (36-inch) and TX-4100 (44-inch), and the TX-3100 MFP Z36 and TX-4100 MFP Z36 multifunctional versions.
Designed for ease of use, these 5-colour (CMYK plus matte black) web and sheetfed machines are designed for professionals in the architectural, engineering and construction sectors, retail and in-house printing departments. They can be used to produce posters, CAD drawings and geographic information systems (GIS).
"The first imagePROGRAF TX models were very well received. Today, customers are increasingly looking for on-demand printing solutions that are both fast and versatile, explains Géraldine Gaspard, Professional Printing Marketing Manager at Canon France. To meet their needs, we have enhanced our range with impressive productivity features. These new additions can print GIS plans and drawings with unparalleled speed and efficiency."

As soon as the roll is installed, the imagePROGRAF TX detects the paper type and width. It starts up quickly and prints at up to 3.2 pages per minute (in A1 format).
A double roll module can be installed during production to handle large volumes. It is also possible to work with different substrates and to switch from one roll to another.
The optional high capacity stacker holds up to 100 A0 prints. It can be folded when not in use.
Printing can be started from a PC or a USB stick.
The ink tank capacity allows for up to 350 meters of continuous printing on two rolls of media. The imagePROGRAF TX's LUCIA TD five-color pigment inks are compatible with Canon's water-resistant media and are recommended for outdoor printing.

The scanner (the Z36) in the imagePROGRAF TX-3100 MFP Z36 and TX-4100 MFP Z36 is lighter and more compact, and features SingleSenso technology. This technology is faster and gives accurate results without layout or calibration, according to Canon.
