Five new HP PageWide XL printers for technical documents

The HP PageWide XL range is growing with these models with enhanced IT security.

After the launch of new Latex printers and new printing and cutting solutions HP is expanding its range of PageWide XL printers dedicated to the production of technical documents.

Designed for large and mid-sized businesses and reprographics and printing professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction industries, this large-format series of color and monochrome printers includes five new models, four of which are scan-enabled: the HP PageWide XL 3920, the HP PageWide XL 4200, the HP PageWide XL 4700, the PageWide XL 5200 and the scannerless PageWide XL 8200.

These 5 models (ranging from a maximum speed of 6 to 30 D/A1 pages per minute) use Eco Carton cartridges, made from cardboard, reducing plastic use by 80% and carbon emissions by 60%.

The PageWide XL 4200, PageWide XL 4700 and PageWide XL 5200 models feature a large 15-inch (nearly 40 cm) touchscreen control panel (compared to 8 inches on previous models). On this screen, users can preview the scan and perform various tasks such as cropping, adjusting contrast and brightness and rotating.

HP has also strengthened the security of the machines. The new HP PageWide XL solutions are equipped with HP SecureBoot (for secure boot), Whitelisting and HP Connection Inspector security features. These new HP PageWide XL solutions are the most secure on the market, according to a study conducted by Sogeti for the American manufacturer.
