The hardware and software changes made improve print quality, usability and processing speed.

EFI is updating its 1.8-meter-wide single-pass digital textile printer, the Reggiani Bolt the world's fastest machine at 90 meters per minute. Since its launch in 2019, the EFI Reggiani Bolt has already printed over 50 million linear meters of fabric worldwide. This modification combines hardware and software improvements.

This second version allows for faster print head replacement and its file processing speed is boosted: it is up to twice as fast for large and complex files.

It features the latest version of the EFI Fiery BT-1000 digital front-end, which offers more intense colors and increases the matching capabilities of existing color profiles commonly used in digital textile printing.

The printing quality of the textile printer is also improved: in addition to more intense colors, the flat tints are more uniform, the gradations softer.

In addition, the inkjet printing machine also incorporates a new camera that provides accurate print renderings and reduces the time required to replace and align print heads.

The user interface has also been improved. Based on the EFI Fiery Command WorkStation 6.0, it is even easier to use.

Finally, the update adds the Fiery Smart Ink Estimator, a tool that helps determine job profitability through accurate calculation of ink costs before printing.

"With the industry's highest speed and now with even higher print quality, the EFI Reggiani Bolt will help spark a revolution in textile printing, shifting more production to digital technology, ensuring a faster return on investment on high-volume jobs with unmatched throughput, reliability and availability." said Adele Genoni, senior vice president and general manager of EFI Reggiani, in a statement.
