Sportswear Pro: discover the conference program for the first edition of the show

Amsterdam will be the heart of the sportswear industry next March, with the Sportswear Pro trade show taking place at the same time as Fespa. Four conferences and round tables focusing on sustainability, personalization and automation will be held. Here are the details of the program.

The first Sportswear Pro trade show will be held from March 19 to 22, 2024 at the RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands, in conjunction with Fespa Global Print Expo, European Sign Expo and Personalisation Experience. Dedicated to sportswear manufacturing and the production of personalized sporting goods, Sportswear Pro will feature four conferences and roundtable discussions on March 21. Presented in English, these presentations and discussions will focus on sustainability, personalization and automation.

Visitors will be able to attend the conference, hosted by Paul Foulkes-Arellano, founder of the Circuthon consulting firm, Innovations in sporting goods materials and textiles .
In this session, Paul Foulkes-Arellano will shed light on the impact of textile finishes, colorations and prints on sportswear.

Ana Kristiansson, founder and creative director of Swedish clothing design agency Desinder, will present the conference Redefining the circular economy âeuros design for circularity .
The entrepreneur will showcase the power of circular thinking while defining a framework for sustainable design strategies in the sportswear sector.

The show will also provide an opportunity to take part in the round table entitled Durability in sportswear: A look beneath the surface. What does it really mean and how can we achieve it?
In this session, Samantha Taylor, founder of The Good Factory, a UK-based company specializing in socially and environmentally sustainable apparel supply chains, will lead discussions on topics such as material selection, sustainable and scalable practices, and on-demand production of sporting goods.
Kevin Van Lancker, founder of Sportswear Of Tomorrow, Soudi Masouleh, a consultant specializing in sportswear design, and Nicole Espey from the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University (ITA), will be contributing their knowledge and experience.

A second round table will be organized. It will focus on The power and potential of personalization . Moderated by Richard Askam, Fespa's ambassador for personalization, it will be addressed by Serena Bonomi, consultant in innovation and strategy for the circular economy, and James Lawrence-Jones, technical advisor, who will explain the potential of sportswear personalization.

Conferences will be held alongside the show, where visitors can discover the latest solutions from suppliers such as Kit Builder, Optimus, Universe Production and Valadio. They will also have the opportunity to discover the Personalise Make Wear intelligent factory, which will produce and personalize sportswear and apparel directly.

For Duncan MacOwan, Fespa's Marketing and Events Manager, these conferences and roundtables will give greater visibility to the changes taking place in the sportswear production chain.
