At Innovation Week 2021, held from October 13 to 15, Heidelberg presented Prinect Print Shop Analytics, the first cloud-based application offered via the new Heidelberg Plus platform launched last April.
Prinect Print Shop Analytics is a tool that records, evaluates and monitors the performance of a print shop according to key performance indicators (KPIs). Based on this real-time data, concrete courses of action are formulated with the help of artificial intelligence.
Prinect Print Shop Analytics is available via the Heidelberg Plus platform. Users - authorized users - can access dashboards, analyses and recommendations with their computer, tablet or smartphone. And a notification system can be set up according to the settings chosen by the print shop.
Heidelberg designed this application with feedback from the Pinguin Druck printing plant in Berlin, Germany.
"Collaborating with Pinguin Druck has a very positive effect on the user value of this first ever cloud-based Prinect application, says Christopher Berti, Software Solutions Manager at Heidelberg. This approach ensures that the features we include in the application reflect actual market demands."
"Print Shop Analytics is changing the game in our daily work, says Alexander Mende, Managing Director of Pinguin Druck. I am now immediately alerted by Print Shop Analytics if one of our printing presses breaks down or if the print shop misses its targets. (...) This functionality and the tool's recommended courses of action help me make the right decision to quickly resolve a problem."
Heidelberg Plus is expected to be gradually expanded with new digital tools and services from the Heidelberg portfolio. This will also include the ability to quickly obtain information and purchase consumables, which is already available via Heidelberg Assistant (HDA) used by more than 1,800 print shops.
"By merging these and other existing applications, and integrating new ones, we will further enhance the benefits for our customers." adds Ludwig Allgoewer, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Heidelberg.
