Two new Panther label presses from Xeikon

The Xeikon PX3300

Both models are connected to the cloud, and allow, among other things, the printing of transparent fronts, the application of tactile effects and variable data printing.

Xeikon launches two new label presses with Panther UV inkjet technology, the Xeikon PX2200 and the Xeikon PX3300. These 2.0 versions replace the PX3000 and PX2000 models. The Xeikon PX2200 with a width of 220 mm and the Xeikon PX3300 of 330 mm are available in 4 or 5 colors (CMYK plus white) and reach the printing speed of 50 m/min.

These new inkjet presses are, like other Xeikon 2.0 presses, connected to the cloud and provide real-time data on the job being produced, such as ink consumption or print time.

"The cloud connectivity, machine-to-machine and human-to-machine interfaces of our UV inkjet presses will enable label printers to take operational excellence to the highest level, says Filip Weymans, vice president of marketing for the group. The potential for maximizing SRT, increasing sustainability and making any operation fit for future challenges is excellent."

Equipped with a new splice table, web detection and a cooled roller in the drying section, the Xeikon PX2200 and Xeikon PX3300 print on new substrates, including transparent face films. They also handle coated papers, PVC, PP, PE, PET and metallized substrates.

The Panther 2.0 series allows you to create tactile effects with white and also has advanced variable data management with the new VariOne option.

The Xeikon PX2200 and PX3300 presses work with PantherCure dedicated UV inks, which offer high gloss labels with high scratch resistance.

The Panther 2.0 series now includes the Xeikon PX30000, available with 6 (CMYK-OV) and 8 (CMYK-OV+ 2 white) print channels.
