Xeikon launches modular label finishing units

The Xeikon LCU33

The LCU series, which can work in-line with Xeikon's Panther and Cheetah digital presses, has a modular design that can be adapted to the needs of the label converter.

Xeikon launches a range of label converting units, intended for the production of high-end labels. Named LCU (for Label Converting Units), this series is composed of two models, the Xeikon LCU33 entry-level version and the LCU350 more advanced version. These Xeikon converting units have a modular, scalable design allowing to adapt to the needs of the company.

"As with many of our digital solutions, the Xeikon LCU line is designed to adapt and evolve as the customer's needs change." explains Jeroen Van Bauwel, production manager . "For example, you can go from applying a base coat to automatic laser-cutting capability, and to larger web versions up to 520 mm."

Depending on the configuration, the LCU series allows selective or non selective varnishing, laminating, laser cutting, semi-rotary cutting, slitting, winding, hot foil stamping, flexo and screen printing.
Xeikon LCUs are equipped with a cloud connection allowing process automation and production information collection on all equipment.
This line works in-line and off-line with Xeikon's Panther inkjet and Cheetah dry toner presses.

"The converter now not only has the latest fully automated, high-quality finishing and finishing capabilities, but can flexibly customize its finishing department and combine a number of processes to optimize its applications and expand its label portfolio, thereby growing its business." underlines Jeroen Van Bauwel.
