Packaging: Bobst unveils the Mastercut 1.65, the 3-in-1 diecutter

This new Bobst flatbed diecutter can handle three types of media.

The Swiss manufacturer Bobst launches a new flatbed diecutter, the Mastercut 1.65. Designed according to the feedback of the cardboard professionals, this Autoplaten diecutter has the particularity to manage flat cardboard, corrugated cardboard and laminated cardboard.

"This machine handles both heavy-duty and delicate substrates, ranging from 300g solid board to 7mm BC double-wall laminated media, all at up to 7,000 sheets/hour, explains Marco Lideo, Bobst diecutting, hot foil stamping and flexo post-printing product line manager . And its high cutting force provides optimal cutting quality and accuracy, even for complex boxes."

The Mastercut 1.65 can process single, double or full cut sheets and is equipped with a dynamic waste ejection function.
Its optical register system reads the marks printed on the top and bottom, as well as the front and side edges of the sheet, allowing for greater flexibility in graphics and substrate choices.

The Mastercut 1.65 is also equipped with TooLink. "TooLink is a platform that connects the cutting press to the tooling to integrate the entire conversion process and access data from previous jobs in seconds, explains Marco Lideo. In other words, it simplifies task changes by automating recipe management, which saves time and eliminates any risk of human error."

This new press can be combined with downstream peripherals to create a complete production line, such as the waste shredder, the flat track that forms layers ready to be palletized or the palletizer that handles stacks up to 2.4 m high.
