Toyo Ink increases its inkjet ink production capacity in France. The Japanese group started on April 19 a new plant of 1400 m 2 installed at its Oissel site in Seine-Maritime.
The Oissel site, which also houses the headquarters of Toyo Ink Europe Specialty Chemicals, the group's European specialty inks division, has benefited from major investments: advanced automation and advanced process and quality control equipment have been installed in the new plant at a cost of 13 million euros.
The fully automated plant is expected to strengthen Toyo Ink's position in the inkjet ink business, particularly in the label, home décor and corrugated markets, the manufacturer says.
"Inkjet is a strategic segment for Toyo Ink, and the investment in a new dedicated facility in Oissel demonstrates our commitment to the digital sector." commented Vincent Guillaud, marketing director of Toyo Ink Europe Specialty Chemicals.
The Oissel site has more than 135 employees and until now has achieved a turnover of around 44 million euros by producing UV inks and pigments for LCD screens.
