The Solit Pro, the new cutter from Müller Martini for medium-sized print runs

This new Solit Pro three-blade cutter has "the widest range of formats on the market" and allows the cutting of books with soft covers as well as parcels up to 85 mm.

Müller Martini launches a new version of its Solit three-blade cutter, which was released 10 years ago.
This new, more automated model, the Solit Pro, is designed for medium to high quality print runs.

Like the Solit, the Solit Pro allows you to change sizes in less than three minutes without tools. It also features SmartPress technology that eliminates air between sheets of paper for a smooth cut.

"The Solit Pro has the widest range of sizes on the market, from 82 x 70 mm up to 434 x 310 mm and from 2 up to 85 mm thick." explains Philippe Michelon, Müller Martini's Sales Director for France.
This new model reaches a speed of 4euros500 cuts per hour and a feeding speed of up to 7euros000 pounds per hour.

The Solit Pro, the cutter for soft and hard cover books

"The feeder has been completely redesigned and now features a telescopic belt and blanket guides. In addition, the feeder has a servo-driven, self-adjusting cleat. This high level of automation reduces manual adjustments, improves cut quality and eliminates smear marks on products."

The Solit Pro is equipped with a new motor system and electronic components. The entire lubrication system has also been optimized.

"With the Solit Pro, we did not focus on speed: it is a cutting machine designed for very high quality. It allows us to make soft covers (magazines, traditional catalogs, etc.), but it also allows us, thanks to its management of up to 85 mm thickness, to make parcels (all the notebooks, NDLR) which will later be encased in a hardcover."
