Mondi's banding paper available for small production lines

Advantage StretchWrap, a fully recyclable stretch paper, now has its own wrapper for small and medium-sized production lines.

Last year, Mondi unveiled Advantage StretchWrap, a plastic-free stretch wrap for wrapping pallets of goods. The launch was accompanied by a banding machine designed by the Italian manufacturer ACMI for production lines requiring 40 to 100 pallets per hour. Now, Mondi is launching a stretch wrapper for small and medium-sized production lines. Filling the "void identified by Mondi in the pallet packaging market" this new packaging machine is manufactured by the Austrian EW Technology.

This new paper wrapper can be fully automated to wrap up to 60 pallets per hour or set to semi-automated to wrap 10 to 15 pallets per hour.
With its thinness, a roll of Advantage StretchWrap can wrap between 400 and 600 pallets, compared to 40 to 80 pallets with a roll of plastic film.

Puncture resistant, high elasticity and low weight, Advantage StretchWrap can be used as a substitute for the commonly used plastic stretch film that is not well recycled. This wrapping paper is fully recyclable in the existing paper waste stream in Europe.

To develop this 100% paper solution, which is puncture-resistant, highly elastic and of reduced weight (70 g/m 2 ), Mondi relied on its 20 years of experience with high elasticity papers to wrap mattresses.
