Launch of Antalis' Curious creative papers

The Curious Collection 2023 papers include four lines, Curious Metallics, Curious Translucents, Curious Skin and Curious Matter.

The fall of Arjowiggins Scotland has significantly changed the paper offering in Europe. Antalis, which had a large part of its portfolio made up of products from the British group, has since been working to find new solutions. The distributor based in the Paris region has in particular purchased some of the paper company's trademarks and intellectual property . After the olin premium offset papers, Keaykolour creative papers and the famous Conqueror antalis explains the evolution of Curious creative papers, produced until last September at Stoneywood in Scotland.

Now made in Europe, "in a factory capable of reproducing the original model almost identically" the Curious Collection 2023 creative paper is composed of four ranges: Curious Metallics, Curious Translucents, Curious Skin and Curious Matter. The Curious Alchemy range with hammered effects and metallic colors disappears. All the new ranges currently include fewer colors and weights than the ranges produced by Arjowiggins.

Curious Metallics, which has a natural vellum surface with metallic highlights, is now available in 17 colors (Ice Silver, Ice Gold, White Gold, Super Gold, Cryogen White, Gold Leaf, Lustre, Galvanised, Red Lacquer, Ionised, Nude, Night, Blue Steel, Champagne, Rose Gold, Magma, Electric Blue) and three weights (120, 250 and 300 g/m 2 ).

"Many of Arjowiggins' competitors have tried to imitate Curious Metallics in the past, but none have been able to replicate its unique shimmering metallic effect." says Thierry Griselin, Managing Director of Antalis France and Benelux.

The premium range of transparent papers, Curious Translucents this product is available in seven weights (80, 90, 100, 110, 150, 210 and 320 g/m²) and can replace plastic materials 2 ).

Curious Skin this satin-finish paper, with its intense colors and anti-fingerprint treatment, is designed for corporate documents, invitations and luxury packaging. It is available in five colors (Black, Extra White, Dark Blue, Grey, Red) and three weights (135, 270, 380 g/m 2 ).

Curious Matter designed for commercial communications and creative productions, is made with a new potato starch process. Its feel is "similar to that of the sand" . Five colors (Goya White, Adiron Blue, Andina Grey, Black Truffle, Désirée Red) and three weights (135, 270, 380 g/m 2 ) makes up the series.

A range of envelopes completes the Curious Collection.

And Antalis still offers many stocks of the old Arjowiggins range, at reduced prices.
