The Manroland Goss subsidiary strengthens its position in the used machinery industry with the addition of equipment for the packaging industry.

Manroland Goss announces the acquisition of Galred, a trading house in the used flexible packaging equipment industry.

Based in the Netherlands and founded in 1994, the company offers used flexographic presses, rotogravure presses, slitter rewinders, bag-making machines and extrusion machines, and boasts a strong customer base "which continues to grow with more than 15,000 small and large companies worldwide" .

For the German manufacturer of web offset presses, this acquisition will enable its subsidiary dedicated to the purchase-resale and reconditioning of printing presses, GWS Printing Systems also based in the Netherlands, to extend its offer to the packaging segment.

Commenting on Galred, Daniel Constandse, Sales Director of GWS, said: "Their deep industry knowledge, strong customer relationships and track record of excellence align perfectly with our vision for growth and innovation."

Roy Tsur, General Manager of Galred, adds: "Together, we will be able to offer an even wider range of solutions for the used packaging industry, enabling our customers to meet their business needs efficiently and sustainably."
