Agfa and American Efi announce that they have entered into a worldwide strategic partnership.
As part of this collaboration, the Belgian manufacturer will integrate Efi's roll-to-roll system into its offerings, and the American manufacturer will offer Agfa's high-end hybrid inkjet printers in its suite of solutions.
"Thanks to the mutual strengthening of the Agfa and Efi portfolios, both companies can present the broadest and most innovative product offering available on the market today, as well as a reliable service infrastructure." say the two manufacturers of large-format inkjet printers.
Pascal Juéry, CEO of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, adds: "Digital printing is one of our company's key growth drivers. This strategic partnership with industry leader Efi will broaden the range of options we can offer our customers and extend the market reach of our cutting-edge solutions. This is truly a milestone for our company and for the wide-format printing industry as a whole."
Arnaud Calleja, Vice-President of Digital Printing Solutions at Agfa, points out that the two groups will at the same time pursue research and development in their respective fields.
Agfa and Efi have already been working together for several years. In 2016, for example, the Apogee production workflow from Agfa integrated with Efi's Fiery digital front-end (DFE) solutions .
This new partnership will be officially presented on the world stage at the Fespa trade show, to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from March 19 to 2, 2024.
