Two new presses from nanographic technology will be launched at the Drupa trade show, which opens on May 28 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Landa Digital Printing, the developer of this unique printing technology, is launching the second generation of its B1 format machines with the Landa S11 and S11P, the S11P being the duplex model. These new machines will offer a variety of options to meet the different needs of printers.
Artificial intelligence and high speed
The Landa S11 and S11P presses can be equipped with the new PrintAI module. Based on artificial intelligence, Print AI improves print quality in demanding applications such as cardboard and commercial printing, which require the use of small print and other brand protection solutions.
It will also be possible to add the 11K high-speed unit, enabling up to 11,200 sheets per hour (compared with 6,500 at present).
In addition to the possibility of adding the 11K module and PrintAi, each press can be configured for four or seven colors, as on previous machines. Continuous printing functions and an inline coating module are also available as options.

Over 50 Landa installations worldwide
He adds: "Although the new S11 series is largely based on the same reliable and recognized S10 platform, the new features launched today will enable customers to enrich their service offering or conquer new markets. B1 digital printing is unquestionably in the midst of a revolution."
Since their launch in 2016, over 50 Landa presses have been installed in 14 countries worldwide. Over 20% of customers have placed orders for a second or third press," points out Gil Oron.
