Madrir, the world's first Colorado XL user

Madrir, based in Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Hauts-de-Seine, France), is the first customer in the world to invest in the new Colorado XL, a 3.4-meter hybrid printer featuring UVgel technology.

Already equipped with several large-format solutions from Canon, the print shop is taking a new step forward with this latest-generation machine. The Colorado XL is designed to enhance print quality, productivity and versatility in large-format applications.

Matoubrillant strengthens its shaping workshop

In Marseilles, the Matoubrillant printing works continues to optimize its production facilities with the installation of two Duplo machines: a DF-1000 folder and a DC-645 cutter-straightener.
The folder complements a Morgana model already in service, in order to secure deadlines and absorb increased workloads, notably linked to web-to-print activity for leaflets, brochures and cardboard.

As for the DC-645, this creasing cutter allows cutting and creasing in a single pass, reducing handling and processing times on recurring production runs such as business cards or decks of cards.
With these investments, the printer is relying above all on reliability, production continuity and deadline control, in a logic of capacity reinforcement rather than technological breakthrough.

Le Monde chooses Cue Print to modernize print production

The Le Monde daily newspaper has chosen the Cue Print solution, developed by Stibo DX, to support the next phase in the modernization of its print and media operations.
Following an in-depth evaluation process, the newspaper opted for a platform designed to secure its production workflows while offering greater long-term flexibility. Cue Print will be deployed alongside Cue Content Store. The Cue Web Print Editor module will interface with the in-house Sirius CMS, while the Cue Designer and Flatplanner tools will preserve existing workflows while enhancing their scalability.

According to Paul Laleu, Le Monde's Technical Director, the aim was not simply to replace a system, but to "create a base from which to evolve more freely" this is particularly true of the Group's digital transformation.

A Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 for flexible packaging

Portuguese flexible packaging start-up Apolo Convert has chosen Fujifilm's Jet Press FP790 water-based inkjet press to equip its new plant, scheduled for installation in September 2026.

Founded by Ricardo da Palma, Apolo Convert intends to build a fully digital, sustainability-oriented industrial model. The new site, built within a year, will operate without solvents or fossil fuels. Around 85% of the energy used will be generated on-site via solar installations coupled with batteries, and all waste will be recycled or reused.

After experimenting with different digital technologies, Apolo Convert chose the Jet Press FP790 for its print quality, production stability and water-based inking adapted to environmental requirements.

According to the company, this investment should reduce production lead times from four to six weeks to two to three, while offering greater customization and enhanced quality on short production runs.

For Fujifilm, this installation is part of a European drive to adopt the Jet Press FP790 by players wishing to accelerate the transition to a more flexible and sustainable model for flexible packaging.

Pandora strengthens its cutting workshop

Pandora, a digital printer based in Marseilles, continues to invest with the production start-up of a PFI Blade B2+ digital cutting table, supplied by Duplo France.

This new machine is installed alongside a PFI Blade B3, which will arrive in 2022, to provide greater flexibility and speed in die-cutting production. It can also handle expanded substrates such as Forex, PVC, featherboard or double-flute, in formats up to 600 x 800 mm.

Pandora had already equipped itself with an Ilam Pro Bagel laminator, a DF 1300L digital folder and a PFI Blade B3. The company has also recently expanded its premises, with the addition of a mezzanine floor to support the increased production load.
