Belgian manufacturer Agfa will present two large-format printing systems, the latest Oberon printer and the Jeti Tauro with new features, at the Fespa trade fair to be held from Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 March 2020 at Ifema in Madrid, Spain.
The Oberon RTR3300, high-end roll printer
Introduced in early February, the Oberon RTR3300 is the latest model in Agfa's large format printer range. This high-end roll-to-roll (RTR) inkjet system has a width of 3.3 m and is available in a four-color plus white version and a six-color version.
This large format printer is equipped with a water-cooled table and UV led lamps, which makes it possible to print any type of heat-sensitive material on rolls, even low-cost media.
The Jeti Tauro H3300 led now in 6 levels of automation
As for the very productive Jeti Tauro H3300 led, it has recently been improved. This hybrid printer with a width of 3.3 m is designed to handle production 24/7 at a speed of 453 m 2 /h.
It is now available in a four-colour version (in addition to the six-colour version). Its new Automatic Panel Feeder (ABF) further improves production efficiency on short runs.
It can now be configured in six different automation levels (previously four). At Agfa's stand, it will be demonstrated mainly with cardboard.
Inks and production flows also to be discovered
Jeti and Oberon printers operate with Anuvia inks that are certified to the highest level of the Greenguard Gold label, which controls chemical emissions. Agfa's Anuvia ink sets are therefore certified as suitable for use in sensitive indoor environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.
Visitors will also be able to see Agfa Asanti's workflow software for large format jobs.
Demonstrations of the Asanti StoreFront web-based printing software and the PrintSphere data exchange solution will also be presented.
