The manufacturer has moved into second place in the market for digital label presses.

The bar of 500 machines installed is crossed. Konica Minolta has now delivered half a thousand AccurioLabel presses worldwide.

Launched in 2016, this mid-range range is dedicated to short- and medium-run label printing. "Its entry into the digital label printing market has helped drive growth in this segment, assures the Japanese manufacturer. A lot of market share has been won."

Konica Minolta has become one of the major players in the global market. With a 15.9% market share in Europe, for example, it has become the second largest manufacturer of digital label presses (according to InfoSource between April 2018 and March 2019).

"We got this far by expanding our customer consultation strategy, for Maria Daniel, Product Manager Industrial Printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions France. With this feedback, we are developing solutions to the various problems facing the label printing industry, in particular the increasing demand for short and medium runs to be executed in very short lead times"

She notes: "Many label converters, which previously used other technologies, have switched to digital printing with an AccurioLabel."

Starting in 2019, Konica Minolta will introduce a new model to replace the previous model, the AccurioLabel 230, which prints on most adhesive papers and films at speeds of up to 23.4 m/min (more details on the AccurioLabel 230 are available at The AccurioLabel 230, Konica Minolta's new digital self-adhesive label press ).
