Mimaki launches the 100 Series, consisting of two entry-level 160 cm wide roll-to-roll inkjet printers, the UJV100-160 with UV ink and the JV100-160 with solvent ink.
The 100 Series is characterized by "by its versatility". "This flexibility will allow users to produce a wide range of applications, from bright wallpapers to high quality billboards", according to Bert Benckhuysen, production manager at Mimaki Europe.

JV100-160 printer is a fast drying eco solvent ink printer (named AS5). This new ink "reduces granularity and allows for fine detail even when printing images with high ink volumes." according to Mimaki. It would also have a scratch resistance and UV durability that allows applications for indoor or outdoor use.
The JV100-160 printer can be loaded with four double CMYK colors or up to eight colors (CMYK, Lc - light cyan, Lm - light magenta, Gold - orange, and light black - Lk).

The Mimaki UJV100-160 large format inkjet printer uses low cost UV ink (named LUS-190) with LED curing. This ink dries immediately and can be applied to paper, but also to PVC, PET film and other difficult substrates. The UJV100-160 can reach printing speeds of 23 m (98 ft) per minute 2 /h.
Mimaki also offers various features on both models that enhance user comfort. They feature the new Dot Adjustment System (DAS) function that automatically adjusts the dot position for bi-directional printing and media feeding.
The 100 Series is equipped with the latest version of RasterLink 7 software, which can reduce RIP time by up to 25%.
