Two new UV LED flatbed tables from Mimaki

Mimaki optimizes its led-UV flatbed inkjet printer range by increasing the speed, the number of colors and the possible printing media.

Large format printing solutions manufacturer Mimaki is expanding its line of UV led curing flatbed inkjet printers, with two models the JFX600-2513 and JFX550-2513. Available after summer 2021, both flatbed printers are designed to enable more applications with more versatile inks and wider media support.

The JFX600-2513 is the first Mimaki flatbed table with 6 colors. White, varnish and primer can also be added. The JFX600-2513 is the big sister of the 4-color JFX550-2513. With more print heads, it reaches a speed three times higher than the predecessor model (the JFX500) and more than 1.5 times higher than the JFX550-2513, says the Japanese manufacturer.

The two large format UV LED printers support media sizes up to 1.3 x 2.5 m and up to 6 cm thick and print directly on a variety of materials, including wood, glass, metal and resin. They are designed for interior design, signage and large format display applications.
The JFX600-2513 and JFX550-2513 also allow for multi-layer printing to create textural effects.

The Mimaki UV inks in these flatbed printers are Greenguard Gold certified, which ensures that they meet safety standards for chemical emissions, and are therefore compatible with school and hospital installations.

"With more speed, color and media options, the new JFX600-2513 and JFX550-2513 models open up a world of possibilities, says Bert Benckhuysen, product manager at Mimaki Europe. "The predecessor of these models, the JFX500-2131 (launched in 2012) , has given us an excellent foundation to push the boundaries of productivity and versatility to deliver two new world-class, large-format LED-UV flatbed inkjet printers."

These new models support Mimaki's MDL commands allowing them to be integrated into an automated workflow.
