Bobst boosts folding-gluing lines with the Speedpack automatic packer

This packer increases productivity by up to 25% on multi-point folding-gluing lines.

The Swiss manufacturer Bobst launches a new version of its automatic packer released in 2017 . With this machine, flat and glued boxes are automatically counted, stacked and banded and ready to be palletized.

This new Speedpack is compatible with the Expertfold 145-165, Expertfold 170-350 and Masterfold 170-350 folder gluers.
The Speedpack 2 supports all types of boxes, normal box, self-closing bottom box and 4-corner box and now also 6-corner boxes, both corrugated and laminated.

The packer increases productivity by up to 25% on multipoint folding-gluing lines thanks to high box processing speed - it can deliver more than 20,000 packs per day - and very short setups - job changes can be made in less than 10 minutes.

Eliminating the need to manually bundle batches of packages and transport them to off-line strapping machines, the Speedpack reduces the operator's workload by 60%, according to the Swiss manufacturer.

Pierre Binggeli, Bobst Folder Gluer Product Line Manager, believes that "With the Speedpack, converters can exploit the full potential of their Bobst folding-gluing lines in terms of quality and productivity" .
