OneVision to demonstrate the power of large format print automation at Fespa 2021

How does an automated end-to-end production line work in practice? To find out, visit the OneVision booth at Fespa 2021.

At the Fespa show, which will be held Tuesday, October 12 through Friday, October 15, 2021 at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, OneVision, in partnership with Canon and Zünd, will be demonstrating an automated solution for producing printed products from file input to finishing.

The German company specializing in software solutions for printing, publishing and media will show how printed products made from different materials are prepared and nested with the Wide Format Automation Suite, the OneVision production system, then printed with Canon's digital printing systems, and cut with Zünd's S3 L-1200 digital cutter.

Wide Format Automation Suite is a workflow system specifically designed for wide format that integrates with existing IT infrastructure, such as MIS, web stores or DFEs.

The software suite starts by retrieving print files from FTP servers, the web or email, then the integrated prepress package analyzes them according to 145 different criteria and errors, such as missing bleeds or color management, are automatically corrected.

Designed for large format, this workflow automates many industry-specific tasks such as nesting, tiling and panelling, adding hems, creating cut lines, quickly preparing files for the printing and finishing process.

Wide Format Automation Suite then transfers the production files to the printing machines and finishing systems.

"Thanks to the automated printing process, print service providers achieve significantly more efficient production of their products and thus benefit from shorter set-up and production times, less manual intervention and maximum substrate utilization." emphasizes OneVision.

OneVision's experts will present this automation solution at the stand 1-E104 at the Fespa Global Print Expo and will gladly answer questions from visitors.
