Kyocera Document Solutions Introduces TASKalfa Pro 15000c Production Printer

Known for the quality of its inkjet printheads, Kyocera is now moving into production inkjet printing. The manufacturer launches the color printer TASKalfa Pro 15000c.

Kyocera Document Solutions has set out to conquer the production printing market. Based on its long experience in inkjet printheads, the Japanese company has designed a color inkjet production printer, the TASKalfa Pro 15000c. This production printer is "a cost-effective alternative to conventional printing in transactional, promotional and direct marketing applications the manufacturer assures.

A fast and versatile printer

With 150 pages per minute in A4, the TASKalfa Pro 15000c printer, which also allows copying and scanning, was developed for high-volume applications. This water-based machine handles a wide range of media types: it supports paper sizes from A6 to SRA3 and paper weights from 56 g/m 2 to 360 g/m 2 allowing you to print on plain paper, inkjet paper, thick paper, postcard, tabbed paper or envelope and banner paper.

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c offers 600 x 600 dpi and 600 x 1200 dpi print resolution and accurate duplex registration on every page. With the addition of stackers and feeders, the TASKalfa Pro 15000c reaches a paper output capacity of 14,000 sheets. Finishing options are also available such as booklet mode.

Kyocera TASKalfa Pro 15000c saves energy and reduces maintenance

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c requires little energy and minimal maintenance. In fact, its typical power consumption (TEC) is only 6.3 kWh/week, which is one of the most energy efficient products in this category on the market.

Kyocera also paid attention to the number of moving parts. This minimizes the risk of failure and reduces the number of on-site service calls. The printheads also incorporate new automated maintenance technology, which ensures consistent output quality by eliminating dried ink and dust. In addition, operators can easily replace the printheads themselves.

"A change in ambition for Kyocera"

"The TASKalfa Pro 15000c represents a shift in ambition for Kyocera, moving us into the innovative realm of production inkjet printing." said Benjamin Claus, marketing director of Kyocera Document Solutions France. "The 150-page-per-minute print speed makes it ideal for the transactional printing industry or reprographic service providers where agility and fast turnaround times are critical."
