The DM-Smartliner, the compact transfer plating solution from Leonhard Kurz

Whether for commercial printing, ticketing, packaging or publishing, the DM-Smartliner transfer metallization unit from Leonhard Kurz is designed to add value to paper and cardboard for single or large runs.

With the DM-Smartliner, metallization is now accessible to small and medium-sized companies. The German manufacturer Leonhard Kurz has created this compact offline finishing machine so that printers and converters of all sizes can create metallization effects without any special knowledge.

This DM-Smartliner foiling solution for paper and cardboard substrates from Kurz works alongside a digital press. The graphics to be metallized are first printed in monochrome on the substrate. The metallization - which can be variable - is then applied to the printed image with the DM-Smartliner unit without a printing plate. The metallized areas can be overprinted with the desired colors to give a striking color depth and glossy effects.

DM-Smartliner plating unit up to 3100 SRA sheets/hour

Equipped with a reliable film feeder and double sheet detection sensor, the DM-Smartliner unit is easily set up for different formats.âeuros¨
Depending on the substrate, up to 3100 sheets/hour can be processed in the SRA3 format, while a blower device ensures optimal sheet separation.âeuros¨

Equipped with a pneumatically operated dancer system, the metallizing unit also offers a professional web tension control system and ensures constant feeding of the metallizing film.âeuros¨A safety system monitors all machine parameters during the finishing process to ensure maximum process stability.âeuros¨
Users can store data under different substrate categories in order to reuse identical parameters for a consistent result.

The DM-Smartliner is a compact, self-contained transfer metallization solution, well suited to small structures, which embellishes packaging and all types of printed materials at high speed, from one copy to large runs without waste.
