With the DM-Smartliner, metallization is now accessible to small and medium-sized companies. The German manufacturer Leonhard Kurz has created this compact offline finishing machine so that printers and converters of all sizes can create metallization effects without any special knowledge.
This DM-Smartliner foiling solution for paper and cardboard substrates from Kurz works alongside a digital press. The graphics to be metallized are first printed in monochrome on the substrate. The metallization - which can be variable - is then applied to the printed image with the DM-Smartliner unit without a printing plate. The metallized areas can be overprinted with the desired colors to give a striking color depth and glossy effects.
