Kiyotaka Suhara, new President of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe

This new chairmanship will help accelerate innovation at Konica Minolta Europe.

Konica Minolta has appointed a new president to head its Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe division, Kiyotaka Suhara, who succeeds Tadahiko Sumitani.

Based in Germany, the Japanese manufacturer's European division employs 8,700 people, and in fiscal year 2021/2022 achieved sales of more than 1.9 billion euros. Dedicated to printing systems, document solutions, and IT service integration, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe is represented by subsidiaries and distributors in more than 80 countries in Europe, as well as in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

With this appointment, the Japanese company intends to continue its growth trajectory, accelerate innovation and further strengthen its market position.

After earning an MBA from Harvard Business School and a law degree from Keio University in Tokyo, Kiyotaka Suhara, the new president, has held senior positions in a variety of industries, including the U.S.-based international strategy consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, the Japanese subsidiary of language schools Berlitz Japan, and the fast food chain Domino's Pizza Japan.
Kiyotaka Suhara "has extensive experience in business transformation" konica points out. He also served as president and CEO of print-on-demand service provider FedEx Kinko's Japan, which under his presidency became part of the Konica Minolta Group in 2012 to become Kinko's Japan.
