Three new Konica and MGI digital machines at AGG Print (69)

The printer is developing its offer towards premium products and strengthening its printing fleet.

Ten days ago, AGG Print, located near Lyon and specializing in digital printing and finishing of all types of media, received two Konica Minolta digital presses and a finishing press, the JETvarnish 3D One MGI.

The JETvarnish 3D One is the latest digital finishing solution developed by MGI. It allows the production of selective UV varnish in 2D and in relief. Denis Ochanine, president of the 35-employee company, explains: "We wanted to offer our customers more premium prints with varnish. We see that this market is growing."

The head of AGG Print adds : "The texture renderings we've already done in test are beautiful. And all small-format communication materials can be enhanced with these varnish effects, such as flyers, brochure covers, business cards, invitations, announcements." The first order with 3D varnish is already in progress.

The printer can also marry the varnish produced by the JETvarnish with a foil produced on a manual gilding machine, for even more added value.

Two Konica Minolta digital color printers, AccurioPrint C3080s with similar configurations, were also installed this month. They replace two older generation machines. In addition to increasing printing speed and quality, they offer the printer new possibilities such as triple-sided duplexing (sizes up to 330 x 762 mm), printing on thick paper up to 350 gsm, and more 2 and printing on envelopes.

And AGG Print Launches Graphic Design Competition to show the possibilities of textured and selective varnish and foil.
