Ouch! Drupa 2021 loses two big exhibitors

But what will Drupa 2021? look like?

The organisers of Messe Düsseldorf must be in a cold sweat... Those who had to postpone the Drupa trade fair from June 2020 to April 2021 have seen two manufacturers cancel their presence at the next edition in quick succession.

Bobst presented yesterday in a press release "innovative tools to interact with customers and reduce its environmental footprint" .
The Swiss manufacturer of printing and finishing equipment says : "The number of trade shows and other industry events has increased sharply over the last ten years and at the same time, communication technologies offer new ways to share content."
Then he concludes: "Bobst is reducing its presence at industrial fairs, greatly limiting its impact on the environment. As a result, we have decided not to participate in Drupa and other industry shows in 2021, while maintaining a limited presence in Asia

At the same time, there were rumors about the Xerox cancellation. This information has just been confirmed to us by the printing machine manufacturer: "Given the continued uncertainty surrounding major pandemic events and our own product launch schedule, Xerox has decided not to participate in Drupa 2021."

Let's hope these announcements don't have a domino effect..
