Kodak's Prinergy workflow automation strengthens with Dataline Solutions ERP

Customers benefit from an automated flow of data between the sales and administrative divisions and production, for example, to determine costs, production scheduling or invoicing.

The manufacturer of printing machines, materials and chemicals Kodak has just signed a partnership with the publisher Dataline Solutions. This agreement enables the automatic integration of the MultiPress computer-aided production management system (CAPM or ERP) into the Kodak Prinergy workflow.

MultiPress, edited by the Belgian company Dataline Solutions, is a CAPM software intended for printing service providers. It centralises and enables the management of all the administrative, commercial, financial and logistical processes of the company in a single place. "It already integrates about 50 manufacturers and suppliers of all kinds (of paper for example)" says Jef Stoffels, Marketing Director of Dataline Solutions.
Published by Dataline Solutions, a Belgian company, this ERP dedicated to graphic arts has 5000 users in the Benelux and is beginning to make a name for itself in other European countries.

With this new collaboration, customers of both companies will be able to benefit from an automated flow of information between the commercial and administrative divisions and production.

"The CAM system transmits precise order data and instructions to the Prinergy workflow environment, which can then process the job files automatically, without errors and without further operator intervention, details Kodak. The passage of jobs through the various production stages is fully automated and takes place with maximum efficiency right up to the final output, either on plates or digitally. In the other direction, the detailed production information provided by the Kodak Prinergy to MultiPress workflow enables accurate costing, scheduling and billing."
