EFI launches two new digital machines for the high-volume signage and extra large format display market, the Vutek Q3r and Vutek Q5r UV roll-to-roll LED printers.
These UV led printers are designed for a wide variety of applications that are known to be difficult, such as duplex printing, white and transparent printing or textile printing.
These roll-to-roll printers are the fastest and most productive in the range. The 520 cm wide Vutek Q5r model reaches a width of 672 m (672 ft) 2 per hour, and the 350-cm wide Vutek Q3r prints up to 558 m (1,500 ft) per hour 2 per hour.
The new printers feature EFI UltraDrop technology with 7 picoliter printheads. According to the manufacturer, this would allow a great fluidity in shadows and gradients as well as a precise and sharp 3 point text.
The Vutek Q3r and Vutek Q5r can be configured with up to nine colours (standard CMYK and optional LC, LM, LK, white and clear coating).
Numerous tools can be added to the machines according to the needs of the printers. In-line cutting and slitting systems, quality inspection, automated backlit printing, reverse identification printing and other features can be added.
