In 2020, Canon is the No. 1 seller in the high-volume continuous feed inkjet and sheetfed markets.

For the 11th consecutive year, Canon continues to lead the continuous feed inkjet printing market with 43% market share in 2020 in the Europe, Middle East & Africa market. And the manufacturer has also captured the top spot in the high-volume production sheetfed inkjet segment with 40% market share according to research firms Infosource and Keypoint Intelligence.

This first place in sheetfed inkjet is the result of the launch of the varioPrint iX series in April 2020. Canon has seen increased sales of its B3 sheetfed inkjet presses particularly with commercial printers and online printers.

Canon maintains its number one position in the continuous inkjet printing market, thanks in particular to the ColorStream range. "The third generation ColorStream 3000, 3000Z and 6000 are always in high demand and customers are extremely pleased with their high reliability, improved productivity and efficiency, which are defining qualities in 1500 installations of this equipment." explains the manufacturer.

"At Canon, we are prioritizing the development of our inkjet product portfolio to provide our customers with solutions that help them become more efficient, handle more applications, meet customer demands and grow their business, said Hayco Van Gaal, vice president of sales and service for commercial printing EMEA at Canon Europe. Based on this, we are confident that our technology, coupled with excellent service and support, sets us apart from the competition and makes our customers more confident when investing in Canon inkjet presses."
