Sérigraphie Carpentier mixes large format screen printing and digital inkjet

The printer Sérigraphie Carpentier is installed in Toulouse since 1962.

The company specializing in posters has evolved its range and has been developing for about ten years in large format POP and signage.

The family business Sérigraphie Carpentier was founded in 1962 in Toulouse by the grandfather of the current director, Julien Carpentier, who himself succeeded his father and uncle.

The company has experienced all the stages of the development of screen printing, from the artisanal practice to the mastery of complex industrial processes. Historically specializing in large format advertising posters, the printing company took the digital turn very early on and now prints in silk-screen and digital inkjet.

Adapt to market changes

In order to face the decrease of the volumes in the advertising poster, the company made its range evolve and develops in particular since about ten years in the large format POP and the signage. At the same time, the company has developed die-cutting with a digital die-cutting machine to shape everything that is POP (cardboard, PVC, akylux).

Sérigraphie Carpentier tries to offer original products that go beyond the framework of classic POP and screen printing, explains Julien Carpentier.

"Our strength is on the one hand to have very fast machines that allow us high rates and therefore very competitive prices, and on the other hand to mix large format screen printing and digital. Screen printing increases the possibilities: fifth color in fluo, screen printing varnish, slate ink, etc.".

Sérigraphie Carpentier works mainly with professionals, communication agencies, printers, companies, and especially large Parisian manufacturers in the cultural sector.

After a month of total shutdown during the first containment, the company resumed operations in 2020 with an overall 30% drop in revenue related to Covid. " The health crisis accelerated the shift we were making to multi-support, die cutting, services, packaging, etc. This allows us to get off to a good start in 2021 and maintain a balance." Sérigraphie Carpentier employs 13 people within the company.
